Estate Planning

Wills and Simple Estate Planning

It is a frighteningly common misconception that only the ultra-rich require a Will or Estate Planning. The fact is, everyone should have some consultation regarding what they wish to happen to their children and hard-earned money in the event of death or incapacity. If you do not have a Will, the Commonwealth will dictate where your assets go, and to whom. Wills, Trusts, and Health Care Proxies are legal documents that can ensure your wishes are carried out in the event of a tragedy.

What Is A Disaster Plan?

A "Disaster Plan" is a simple, will-based estate plan that strives to answer and prepare for the big questions in the event that something catastrophic happens to you or your spouse. Certainly no one enjoys discussing these issues, but some simple planning can avoid heartache and confusion in the future.

Although these issues are difficult to talk about, this office will walk you through your objectives and give you options that may best suit your needs. Most would agree that these issues and questions would be far more difficult for family members to flush out in the event of a tragedy.

For more information, see our office newsletter entitled, "Estate Planning: Do you really need a Will?" located Here.

Please do not hesitate to contact this office if you would like to further discuss Wills and Estate Planning services.
